Nauvoo Exodus Commemoration Fireside

A special fireside was held January 30, 2023 to commemorate the exodus of the Saints from Nauvoo in February 1846.  Several of the site missionaries shared stories of their ancestors who were part of the exodus.  They were all excellent.  Sister Jensen memorized the account of one of her great great grandfathers and their story.  A mens double quartet sang "Come Come Ye Saints" and "Ye Elders of Israel".  It was a wonderful meeting.  This coming saturday, we will re-enact the exodus.  Here is a link to the events from last year:  Nauvoo Historic Sites Exodus Commemoration 2022

Sister Dickson had some help from the site missionaries to fit and hem a beautiful dress they had just made for this year's pageant.  Doesn't she look wonderful in this blue period dress and bonnet?
