Thanksgiving with the Gales at the Mix House

Kathy and Jake and their family came to visit us for the Thanksgiving Holiday and Diane's birthday.  They stayed at the Mix House which is 175 year old home just up the road from our apartment.  The place had a great deal of charm and made for a wonderful Thanksgiving memory!  Of course, it is always great to be with family.

The dining room below made it possible for us to eat at the same table.

The food was delicious.  We had all the fixins:  turkey, stuffing, mashed potoatoes and gravy, corn, beans, rolls, green salad and Elder Dickson's favorite, candied yams (Kathy's recipe).   Later we had pie (chocolate, pumpkin and apple).
