Arrived in Nauvoo - Mailing and Shipping Address

Here we are at our new digs!  Interesting note:  If you continue west on Parley Street, you will be on the "trail of tears" that goes right down to the Mississippi river where the saints left in the winter of 1846.

Our host couple are the Zauggs.  They are wonderful missionaries and have been good to keep track of us coming from Morgan to Nauvoo. Today they drove us around after helping us unload the van. One connection that we made was that they also trained the Etherington‘s from the Morgan 2nd Ward to take their place in the Denver mission. It is a small world.

Spent a good part of the day getting unpacked and getting the apartment ready. I was able to get the computers all hooked up and setup a Wi-Fi network and even got the printer to work wirelessly! That all went pretty smooth. We were also shown the place where mail comes.  Hopefully we get letters from home and maybe even a few packages!

Our mailing address is:

Elder and Sister Dickson
Nauvoo Illinois Temple
PO Box 310
Nauvoo, IL 62354

For packages, the physical address is:

Elder and Sister Dickson
Nauvoo Illinois Temple
975 Young Street
Nauvoo, IL 62354

Diane and I went for a quick bike ride, then drove to Keokuk Iowa (about 25 minute South and acrossed the Mississippi) and shopped at Walmart. It was a major pandemonium as we load it up for the first week or so in the apartment.  We made friends with the checker who has a young six year old girl that just lost four front teeth.

We pulled the sheets out to put them on the bed and they did not smell right from the packaging.  Actually, they stunk so bad!!!  So we stayed up late at night washing the sheets so that we could put them on the bed and get some quick sleep.  We needed to get up early in the morning so that we could be in the temple to receive initial instructions and meet with the temple presidency and be set apart.
